DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA — Tanzania is set to host a major Pan-African gathering when the AFRICON Leadership, Investment & Entrepreneurship Summit & Awards 2026 takes place from 9–11 November 2026 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre.
Held under the theme “From Dialogue to Delivery: Shaping Africa’s Next Decade,” AFRICON is designed as a high-level platform connecting African leadership with investment, business and practical economic partnerships.
The Summit is endorsed by H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and will take place with Hon. Dr. Judith Salvio Kapinga, Minister of Industry and Trade, as Guest of Honour.
AFRICON is expected to bring together more than 1,000 delegates from over 20 African countries, including Ministers, senior government officials, diplomats, investors, development finance institutions, CEOs, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, women and youth leaders and development partners.
Connecting Investors with Tanzania
A central feature of AFRICON 2026 will be the AFRICON Investment Deal Room, an invitation-only platform designed to facilitate direct engagement between investors and Tanzania’s public and private sectors.
The platform will connect international and African investors with government decision-makers, investment promotion agencies, project owners, financial institutions and strategic business partners.
The objective is to move beyond general conference networking towards curated investment conversations, project presentations, investor matchmaking and Business-to-Government and Business-to-Business engagements.

From Dialogue to Delivery
The Summit’s Leadership Forums will address some of the most important questions facing Africa over the next decade, including the continent’s global positioning, industrialisation, investment and development finance, regional integration, competitiveness, entrepreneurship, women’s economic participation and youth leadership.
The programme will culminate in the Dar es Salaam Declaration on Africa’s Next Decade, bringing together key recommendations emerging from the Summit’s leadership dialogues.
AFRICON will also recognise outstanding African leadership and Tanzanian entrepreneurial excellence through the Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan Pan-African Leadership Awards and the Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan Entrepreneurship Honorary Awards.
